What To Do At The Natural History Museum Of Los Angeles County?

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County has mind-blowing exhibitions and unique programs that explore the underwater realm of ancient Los Angeles and dinosaur discoveries from more than 65 million years ago. The underwater experience is a multimedia-rich story lesson displaying 40 prehistoric and 2,000 fish fossils. 

The Dinosaur Hall has more than 300 fossils and 20 mounted skeletons. Tickets for a live dinosaur puppet performance are available every Thursday through Sunday. A variety of special exhibits, like the spider collection, teach you about the different species of spiders and give you a rare glimpse of hundreds of orb weavers and their webs. 

Outside the museum, you’ll find nature gardens that house over 600 Californian and international plants. These plants are home to birds, butterflies, lizards, squirrels, and other wildlife. Check the calendar of events to view the diverse range of programs and events scheduled throughout the year.
